Gitika Sanjay is an 17-year-old poet and writer from San Jose, California. She has been writing for four years and reading for many more. Gitika has previously been published in Sunday Morning at the River’s Folly Took A Seat and Laughed in Our Faces: A Poetry Anthology. She is also the author of Queer Folk in Strange Times, a self-published nonfiction novel about the evolution of LGBTQ+ representation. She is an avid lover of tea, piano, and extended metaphor. When Gitika is not writing poetry, she can be found dancing at concerts or perusing local bookstores. In the fall, she will be heading to the University of St. Andrews in Scotland to pursue a degree in History.
